Texas Christian at Arizona State

PHOENIX (Interstat) — The Texas Christian Horned Frogs and Arizona State Sun Devils continue their Big 12 series on Saturday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, with both teams looking to build momentum from midweek offensive explosions.

TCU (10-6) arrives after a 9-4 victory over Kansas on Tuesday, powered by a strong relief outing from Zack James and a four-RBI day from Chase Brunson. The Horned Frogs have won four of their last five.

Arizona State (12-4) is riding high after a 10-4 win over rival Arizona, also on Tuesday. The Sun Devils’ bullpen, highlighted by three scoreless innings from Sean Fitzpatrick, stifled the Wildcats’ bats.

James, a key arm for TCU, has been effective lately, allowing just one earned run over his last 6.2 innings of work. For Arizona State, Fitzpatrick has emerged as a reliable option, having not allowed an earned run in his last six appearances spanning 5.1 innings.

The series opened Friday with Arizona State securing a shutout victory. Saturday’s matchup projects as a higher-scoring affair. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Horned Frogs are projected to edge the Sun Devils 8-7.

Both lineups have shown potent offense this season. TCU has scored 10 or more runs in five games, while Arizona State posted a 29-run performance against Loyola Marymount last weekend.

First pitch is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. The series concludes Sunday before both teams turn their attention to conference play. TCU hosts UCF next weekend, while Arizona State hits the road for a series at Kansas State.
