CINCINNATI (Interstat) — Max Mitchelle launched a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning Sunday, capping a Cincinnati comeback for a 9-8 victory over UC San Diego at Marge Schott Stadium.

The Bearcats, who trailed 8-0 after the top of the first, chipped away before Mitchelle’s solo shot ended the afternoon contest. UC San Diego’s Gabe Camacho hit a grand slam in the seventh. Cincinnati’s Quinton Coats answered an early two-run homer by J.C. Allen with a three-run blast in the first.

The Tritons collected 11 hits to the Bearcats’ 10. Cincinnati improved to 13-4, while UC San Diego fell to 4-10.
