DAYTON, Ohio (Interstat) — Fordham held off a late Dayton rally for a 5-4 victory in Atlantic 10 baseball action Sunday evening at Woerner Field, avoiding a three-game series sweep.

The Rams built a 5-1 lead, keyed by a two-RBI day from Joey Donnelly and two RBIs from Caden Young, while Madden Ocko scored three runs. Dayton’s Ryan MacDougall hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, but Fordham’s bullpen sealed the win. Relievers Declan Cawley and Robbie Stewart each threw two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Fordham improved to 14-16 overall. Dayton fell to 17-13.
