Wildcats Overwhelm Racers in Midweek Rout

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Interstat) — The Kentucky Wildcats erupted for a seven-run second inning and cruised to a 14-4 victory over the Murray State Racers on Tuesday evening at Kentucky Proud Park.

Murray State seized a 4-0 lead in the first, highlighted by Conner Cunningham’s RBI single. Kentucky responded immediately, tying the game in the bottom half before sending 11 batters to the plate in the second. Hudson Brown’s two-run single keyed the outburst, part of his two-hit, four-RBI day. Cunningham drove in three for the Racers.

Five Kentucky relievers combined for 4 1/3 perfect innings, striking out seven. The Wildcats improved to 20-4, while Murray State fell to 15-9.
