ABILENE, Texas (Interstat) — Diego Cardenas hit two home runs and drove in four runs, including a game-tying three-run shot in the seventh inning, to lift the Abilene Christian Wildcats to an 8-7 walk-off victory over the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles on Sunday evening at Kimbrell Arena.

Sam Hardcastle delivered the winning single in the bottom of the ninth. The Wildcats erased a seven-run deficit after the Golden Eagles scored all their runs in the first inning, highlighted by Martell Davis’s three-run homer. Both teams finished with 10 hits.

Oral Roberts starter Weston Rouse struck out six over 3 2/3 hitless innings, but Abilene Christian’s Baron Mannis earned the win with three scoreless relief frames. Abilene Christian improved to 4-2, while Oral Roberts fell to 3-4.
