MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — Billy Garrett scored 14 points and Irapuato rallied from an early double-digit deficit to defeat Diablos Rojos 86-82 on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, in a Mexican LNBP game.

Irapuato scored 22 points in each of the first two quarters and took a 44-39 halftime lead. Diablos Rojos, who scored 30 in the first quarter but just nine in the second, trimmed the margin in the third quarter, outscoring Irapuato 24-22. Irapuato then held on with a 20-19 edge in the fourth.

Santiago Scala led all scorers with 23 points for Diablos Rojos. Trey Drechsel added 16 points and seven rebounds. Glenn Cosey scored eight points, and Bruno Cardoso added five points and six rebounds for Diablos Rojos. Garrett paced Irapuato with 14 points. Irapuato improved to 1-1 with the victory, while Diablos Rojos dropped to 2-1. Diablos Rojos had beaten Irapuato 99-73 one night earlier in the teams’ previous matchup.
