SAO PAULO (Interstat) — David Sloan scored 27 points and dished out eight assists to lead Pinheiros to a 101-92 overtime victory over Paulistano on Monday night at Ginasio Poliesportivo Henrique Villaboim.

Pinheiros improved to 32-8, while Paulistano fell to 26-12. The home team trailed 23-16 after the first quarter but outscored Paulistano 26-24 in the second to tie the game at 42. Pinheiros took the lead in the third quarter, 24-22, and held a 66-63 edge entering the fourth. Paulistano rallied to force overtime, outscoring Pinheiros 20-23 in regulation’s final period. In the extra frame, Pinheiros dominated 12-3.

Kaleb Hunter powered Paulistano with 27 points and nine rebounds. Yan Barbosa added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Pinheiros. Edson Tovar and Lucas Siewert each scored 11 for Paulistano. Felipe Gregate contributed 16 points for the winners.
