SAO PAULO (Interstat) — Agapy Santos scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds Tuesday to lead Pinheiros to a 95-80 win over Ulbra in a Brazilian NBB game at Ginasio Poliesportivo Henrique Villaboim.

Santos added one assist and two blocks for Pinheiros, which improved to 29-8. David Sloan contributed 20 points and five assists.

Pinheiros broke open a 41-38 halftime lead with a 31-point third quarter. Ulbra, now 10-26, could not recover despite 23 points from Stan Scott.

Luis Fernando Sacco added 17 points and three rebounds for Ulbra. Matheus Custodio recorded 11 points and six blocks.

The hosts shot efficiently from the floor and three-point range while controlling the boards. Ulbra’s season has included a 95-63 win over Bauru on April 16 but also five losses in its last six games entering Tuesday. Pinheiros had won three of its last four.
