CARACAS, Venezuela (Interstat) — The Margarita Guaiqueries defeated Miranda 99-67 on Friday night at Jose Joaquin Carrillo Gymnasium. Margarita held Miranda to six points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Tyrone White led Margarita with 21 points, four assists and two rebounds. Eliezer Montano added 13 points and 12 rebounds with three blocks. Juan Guerrero also scored 13 points with six rebounds. Gendry Correa contributed 10 points. Margarita shot 40 of 69 from the field and 12 of 26 from 3-point range.

For Miranda, Solomon Kuol scored 14 points. Yochuar Palacios added 11 points. Romer Perdomo and Davonte Davis each scored nine points. Miranda shot 21 of 61 from the field.

Margarita improved to 15-7 across all competitions, while Miranda fell to 1-20. The Guaiqueries previously defeated Miranda 85-76 in overtime on April 6.
