Carabobo vs. Falcons

CARACAS, Venezuela (Interstat) — The Falcons host the Carabobo Trotamundos on Friday, May 1, 2026, in a Venezuelan Superliga de Baloncesto matchup that pits a team struggling for consistency against a squad with a winning record.

Carabobo (14-8 overall) enters the game as the clear favorite. The Trotamundos are coming off a 77-73 victory at Miranda on April 28, in which swingman Jhornan Zamora logged 12 points, five rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes. Zamora, a key player to watch, has been productive but inconsistent over his last 10 games, averaging 7.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 42% from the field. His best outing came on April 8 at Miranda, where he scored 14 points with four assists in 19 minutes.

The Falcons (8-12) are looking to snap a two-game losing streak, most recently falling 84-80 to Anzoátegui on April 29. Center David Nesbitt led the Falcons in that loss with 19 points and three rebounds in 34 minutes, continuing a strong stretch. Over his last 10 games, Nesbitt has averaged 15.3 points and 3.7 rebounds, including a 28-point, nine-rebound effort on April 15 against Car. Spartans.

The teams met once this season, with Carabobo winning 84-78 at home on March 14. The ELO projection system gives Carabobo a 57.60% probability of winning Friday’s contest.

Carabobo’s next game is May 6 at home against Caracas. The Falcons have a road trip May 5 at Avila and May 6 at Portuguesa.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time at the Falcons’ home arena.
