SAN GERMÁN, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Andre Curbelo recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and Nick Perkins added 21 points and 14 rebounds as the San German Atleticos defeated the Arecibo Capitanes 103-99 in overtime Sunday at Arquelio Torres Ramirez Coliseum.

San German outscored Arecibo 18-14 in the extra period after the game was tied 85-85 at the end of regulation. The Atleticos improved to 16-9, while the Capitanes fell to 13-9.

Jorge Pacheco-Ortiz contributed 10 points and two assists for San German, which also got eight points from Christian Jomar Pizarro Rios. Antonio Gordon scored eight points with six rebounds.

Arecibo trailed by as many as eight in the fourth quarter but forced overtime behind a 22-point frame. The Capitanes scored 26 points in the second quarter to take a 44-35 halftime lead, but San German answered with 26 in the third to tie the game entering the final period.

The meeting was the second this season between the BSN rivals, with Arecibo winning the first matchup 90-85 on May 3.
