CAGUAS, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — The Manati Atenienses snapped a three-game losing streak Thursday night, defeating Caguas 98-89 in a BSN contest. Manati led 27-26 after the first quarter, built a 50-46 halftime lead and outscored Caguas 24-18 in the third quarter. Caguas rallied with a 25-24 fourth quarter but fell short. Louis King led Caguas with 13 points, three rebounds, three assists and a block. Christian Lopez added three points, Josh Denton six, Hiram Huertas one rebound, Michael O’Connell nine points and four rebounds, Richard Nunez Rivera one rebound, Oenis Medina two points, one rebound and one assist, Luis Rivera and Gilberto Clavell played limited minutes, and Alexander Kappos finished with nine points and three rebounds. Manati improved to 8-14, while Caguas dropped to 16-9. Manati won the season series 2-1.
