GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Jaysean Paige scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished seven assists to lead the Guaynabo Mets past the Carolina team 94-90 on Friday at Mario Morales Coliseum.

Guaynabo improved to 10-11, while Carolina fell to 12-10.

Brandon Knight added 22 points and eight assists for the Mets, and Ismael Romero posted 17 points and 12 rebounds. Devin Williams contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Torrey Craig scored 14 points with five rebounds and two blocks.

Tremont Waters led Carolina with 22 points and three assists. Daniel Rivera scored 14 points with eight rebounds, and George Conditt added eight points and six boards.

Carolina led 57-42 at halftime after scoring 24 points in the first quarter and 33 in the second. Guaynabo outscored Carolina 24-19 in the third quarter and 28-14 in the fourth to erase the deficit.

The Mets shot effectively from the floor and the free-throw line, while Carolina struggled in the second half. Paige’s performance followed a 22-point outing at Aguada on May 19. The teams split their previous two meetings this season.
