OTTAWA (Interstat) — The Ottawa Blackjacks defeated the Niagara River Lions 92-69 on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at TD Place in a Canadian Elite Basketball League game. Ottawa improved to 8-10, while Niagara fell to 6-11.

Ottawa led 24-14 after the first quarter and never trailed. The Blackjacks extended the lead to 44-41 at halftime behind a 20-point second quarter. Ottawa outscored Niagara 23-16 in the third and 25-12 in the fourth.

Nathan Cayo led Niagara with 16 points, three rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes. Khalil Ahmad added 12 points, four rebounds and five assists. Elijah Lufile posted 10 points and seven rebounds. Keonte Kennedy and Curtis Hollis each scored 10 and nine points, respectively.

The Blackjacks shot a higher percentage from the floor, from three-point range and from the free-throw line. Ottawa’s defense held Niagara to 12 points in the final period.

The teams met May 18 in Ottawa, with the Blackjacks winning 91-85. They play again July 4 in Niagara.
