TIJUANA (Interstat) — Akia Pruitt posted 22 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks as the Tijuana Zonkeys defeated the Hermosillo Rayos 108-104 on Wednesday night at Auditorio Fausto Gutierrez in a CIBACOPA rematch.

Pruitt, a small forward, played 41 minutes and added three assists in the win. KiAndre Gaddy led all scorers with 34 points and 14 rebounds for Hermosillo. Diamond Stone added 21 points and four rebounds for Tijuana, while Jaire Grayer scored 16 points and Donald Carey had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Rayos.

The victory avenged Tuesday’s 95-93 loss at home to Hermosillo. Tijuana improved to 16-16, while the Rayos fell to 14-20. Omar de Haro contributed 13 points and five assists for the Zonkeys, and R.J. Felton dished six assists for Hermosillo. Terrell Brown recorded six points and four rebounds in his return.
