Obera vs. Instituto Cordoba
CORDOBA, Argentina (Interstat) — Two of the Argentinian Liga A’s hottest teams will clash Monday when Instituto Cordoba hosts Obera at Angel Sandrin.
Instituto (6-2) enters the contest near the top of the league standings, having won four of its last five games. Its most recent result was an 85-70 victory over Gimnasia Indalo on Oct. 23. The team has been strong at home, with key wins over San Lorenzo and Boca Juniors in Cordoba this season.
Obera (4-2) brings momentum of its own, riding a three-game winning streak. That run was extended with a narrow 84-83 road victory over Independiente on Saturday. Prior to that, Obera notched a 79-65 win at Atenas.
The matchup pits Instituto’s consistent, high-scoring offense against an Obera squad that has found its rhythm after a 1-2 start to the season. Obera’s recent success has been fueled by balanced scoring, with Keylan Boone, Vicente Garello and Gaston Whelan leading the charge in their last outing.
This is the first of two scheduled meetings between the clubs this season, with the rematch set for Dec. 5 in Obera.
