GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Interstat) — The Diablos Rojos stunned the league-leading Jal. Astros 91-74 on Monday night, overcoming a significant statistical projection to hand the Astros just their second loss of the season. Michael Carrera led the way for the visitors, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The Diablos Rojos seized control with a dominant 27-point third quarter, fueled by efficient shooting as they hit 13 three-pointers. Despite being outrebounded 45-32, Diablos Rojos capitalized on superior shooting percentages across the board. The Astros, who entered the game with a 22-1 record and were heavy favorites, struggled from deep, making only 6 of 30 attempts. The two teams are scheduled for a rematch Tuesday.
