Correcaminos vs. Diablos Rojos

MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — A pivotal early-season matchup in the Mexican LNBP is set for Saturday as the Diablos Rojos host the Correcaminos.

The game, scheduled for September 20, 2025, at the Diablos’ home arena, features two teams jockeying for position in the league standings. The home side Diablos Rojos enter with an 8-6 record, just ahead of the visiting Correcaminos, who sit at 7-6.

Both teams are coming off successful weekend road performances. The Diablos Rojos swept a two-game series against Aguascalientes, capped by a 97-91 victory on Sunday. Guard Luciano Gonzalez led the scoring with 22 points, while backcourt mates Daishon Smith (19 points, 6 assists) and Dontrell Brite (15 points, 5 assists) provided significant offensive firepower.

The Correcaminos also completed a two-game home sweep of Gambusinos, winning 95-85 on Sunday. Point guard Damien Daniels paced the team with 22 points, with strong frontcourt contributions from Charles Garcia (15 points, 6 rebounds) and Roddy Peters (14 points, 7 rebounds).

Recent form, however, shows some inconsistencies for both clubs. The Diablos dropped two games to Jalisco and two to Soles in early September before their recent wins. Similarly, the Correcaminos have alternated wins and losses over their last several contests, including a split with San Luis Potosi and a series split with Dorados.

A statistical projection from Interstat heavily favors the home team, simulating a final score of Diablos Rojos 72, Correcaminos 57.

Following this contest, both teams will hit the road for their next series. The Diablos Rojos will travel to face Cancun El Calor for a two-game set on September 26 and 27, while the Correcaminos will head north for a pair of games against Fuerza Regia on the same dates.
