Soles vs. Leon

LEON DE LOS ALDAMA, Mexico (Interstat) — The Soles, owners of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional’s best record, look to complete a road sweep of the last-place Leon on Thursday at Domo de la Feria.

Soles (13-2) continued their dominant season with a 90-83 victory over Leon (2-15) just one day prior. Point guard Joshua Webster orchestrated the win with a double-double, scoring 13 points and dishing 12 assists in 29 minutes. Brandon McCoy added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

The result extended Soles’ winning streak to four games. Their only two losses this season came on the road against Fuerza Regia and Dorados.

Leon, meanwhile, remains mired in a difficult season. The loss was their fourth straight and 13th in their last 14 outings. In Wednesday’s contest, Elijah Weaver led all scorers with 18 points, while Joseph Ruben Soto contributed 13 points and eight assists.

The teams’ fortunes this season could not be more different. Soles boast a league-leading offense and defense, while Leon has struggled at both ends of the court, particularly during their current skid.

According to Interstat, Soles are projected as heavy favorites with an 86% probability to win. Their game simulator predicts a final score of Soles 85, Leon 78.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. local time tipoff.
