Bach, Vermont blank Franklin Pierce in women’s hockey road win

(Interstat) — Tara Bach stopped all 19 shots she faced, and Vermont scored four unanswered goals to beat Franklin Pierce 4-0 in a women’s NCAA Division I hockey game Saturday at Gardner Veterans Arena. The Catamounts, the visiting team, improved to 3-1. The Ravens, the home team, fell to 2-4. Attendance was 63. Vermont grabbed the lead early in the first period.
