WORCESTER (Interstat) — The Assumption Greyhounds will open the 2026-27 women’s NCAA Division I hockey season by hosting the Saint Michael’s Purple Knights on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Laska Gymnasium in Worcester, Mass. Saint Michael’s will be the visiting team, and Assumption will be the home team. Both programs enter the season opener with 0-0 records. The game is the first of a two-game series between the schools, with the second game scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at Assumption. Assumption’s nickname is the Greyhounds, and Saint Michael’s nickname is the Purple Knights.

Saint Michael’s most recently lost 5-1 at Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026. The Franklin Pierce Ravens were the home team in that contest. Assumption most recently dropped a 2-1 home decision to Saint Anselm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The Saint Anselm Hawks were the visiting team in that game.

The Purple Knights are scheduled to visit Assumption again on Saturday, Sept. 26. Saint Michael’s will host the Franklin Pierce Ravens on Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3. The Purple Knights will host the Stonehill Skyhawks on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. They will visit the Dartmouth Big Green on Friday, Oct. 16, host Dartmouth on Saturday, Oct. 17, visit the Harvard Crimson on Friday, Oct. 23, visit the Merrimack Warriors on Saturday, Oct. 24, and visit the Long Island Sharks on Friday, Oct. 30. The stretch includes a trip to Assumption, home games against Franklin Pierce and Stonehill, a home-and-home with Dartmouth, and road games at Harvard, Merrimack and Long Island.

The Greyhounds will host Saint Michael’s again on Saturday, Sept. 26. Assumption will visit the Holy Cross Crusaders on Thursday, Oct. 1. The Greyhounds will host the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. They will visit the Saint Anselm Hawks on Friday, Oct. 16, host Saint Anselm on Saturday, Oct. 17, visit the Mercyhurst Lakers on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, and visit the Long Island Sharks on Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7. The slate includes a rematch with Saint Michael’s, a road game at Holy Cross, home games against Sacred Heart, a home-and-home with Saint Anselm, a trip to Mercyhurst and a trip to Long Island.
