Lindenwood Lions at Merrimack Warriors

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (Interstat) — Lindenwood will put its unbeaten start on the line Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, when the Lions visit Merrimack in a women’s NCAA Division I hockey game at Lawler Arena.

The Lions are 2-0-0 after opening the season with a pair of road wins at Post. Lindenwood beat Post 5-0 on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, then followed with a 7-0 victory on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. The Lions have not allowed a goal through two games.

Paige Cline has been central to that start. In the most recent win, the left wing scored two goals and added one assist on two shots on goal. She also scored one goal on four shots on goal in the first meeting with Post. Cline has three goals and one assist over the first two games, with six shots on goal across those contests.

Krisztina Weiler had four assists and two penalty minutes in the 7-0 win, while goaltender Ebba Ridderstolpe earned the win with 15 saves. Lindenwood has outscored its first two opponents by a combined 12-0.

Merrimack will open its season Thursday. The Warriors were 0-0-0 entering the matchup and are playing their first game since a 4-0 loss at Maine on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. Merrimack will look to use home ice at Lawler Arena against a Lindenwood team that has played two games already.

The game is the first of two meetings between the programs. Lindenwood is scheduled to visit Merrimack again Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. After that series, the Lions are set to travel to Delaware for games Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 before returning home to face Mercyhurst on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9. Merrimack’s upcoming schedule includes home games against Union on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, followed by a home matchup with Post on Oct. 23 and Saint Michael’s on Oct. 24. The Warriors also host New Hampshire on Oct. 30.

Cline remains the player to watch for Lindenwood. Her recent form includes three goals and one assist over the first two games, with six shots on goal across those contests. The Lions will count on that production as they face a Merrimack team making its season debut.

Merrimack, meanwhile, will try to shake off the long layoff and begin the new campaign with a strong home performance. The Warriors have not played since late February and will face a Lindenwood squad that has already found its offensive rhythm.

The Interstat game simulator projects a final score of Lindenwood 3, Merrimack 2.
