Quinnipiac Bobcats vs. Princeton Tigers
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two of the nation’s top women’s college hockey teams will clash in a high-stakes neutral-site showdown Friday when the Quinnipiac Bobcats face the Princeton Tigers at the historic Olympic Center.
The non-conference matchup features teams with nearly identical sterling records. Quinnipiac enters at 25-8-3, while Princeton stands at 23-9-2. Both teams are riding momentum from decisive 5-1 victories in their last outings on March 1.
The game pits Quinnipiac’s explosive offense against Princeton’s stalwart goaltending. Bobcats forward Kahlen Lamarche is arguably the hottest player in the country, coming off a seven-point weekend. She recorded a hat trick and an assist in a 5-4 win over Brown on Sunday, capping a torrid stretch where she has scored 12 goals in her last seven games.
Princeton will counter with senior netminder Uma Corniea, who has been a wall. She made 25 saves in the win over Harvard and posted a 27-save shutout against the Crimson just two days prior. Her performance will be critical against a Quinnipiac attack averaging over four goals per game in its last six contests.
The season series, played in November, was a split on each team’s home ice. Princeton won the most recent meeting 2-0 on Nov. 22, 2025, after Quinnipiac took a 4-3 decision on Nov. 20.
For Quinnipiac, secondary scoring behind Lamarche will be key. Centers Emerson Jarvis and Zoe Uens contributed in the recent win over Brown. Princeton will look for production from its top line of Riley Sorokan and Katherine Khramtsov, who combined for three points against Harvard.
The venue adds a layer of prestige. The 1980 Olympic rink provides a unique stage for this late-season test, which serves as a final tune-up before both teams look ahead to the 2026-27 campaign. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT Friday.
