Dartmouth Seeks to Snap Skid Against RPI in Women’s Hockey
TROY, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build on rare positive results will meet Saturday when the Dartmouth Big Green visit the RPI Engineers in an ECAC women’s hockey matchup at Houston Field House.
The game, scheduled for Feb. 14, 2026, features a pair of programs near the bottom of the conference standings. Dartmouth enters with a 4-22-3 overall record, while RPI sits at 7-26-0. Despite the struggles, both squads are coming off performances that offered a measure of encouragement.
RPI snapped a seven-game losing streak with a decisive 4-1 victory over Harvard on Friday night. The Engineers will aim to carry that momentum into the weekend’s finale.
Conversely, Dartmouth is mired in a nine-game winless streak (0-8-1) but played one of its tightest games of the season in a 1-0 road loss to Union on Friday. The Big Green have been shut out in six of their last nine contests.
A key matchup will be in the crease. Dartmouth is expected to start junior goaltender Jiahui Zhan, who has been heavily relied upon despite the team’s record. Zhan made 14 saves in the narrow loss to Union and has faced an average of 37 shots per game over her last five starts, posting a .925 save percentage in that span. She will need to be sharp against an RPI offense that found its scoring touch against Harvard.
For the Engineers, sophomore forward Sabrina Beaudoin is a player to watch. She scored a goal in RPI’s recent 4-3 loss to Union on Jan. 24 and also found the net in a Jan. 17 game against St. Lawrence. Her offensive spark will be crucial as RPI seeks consecutive wins for the first time this season.
The teams last met on Dec. 5, 2025, in Hanover, with RPI securing a 3-1 victory. According to Interstat’s game simulator, another close contest is projected, with a predicted final score of RPI 2, Dartmouth 1.
Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. EST at Houston Field House. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
