RIT at Penn State
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (Interstat) — The surging Penn State Nittany Lions, one of the nation’s top teams, will host the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers in a women’s NCAA Division I hockey matchup on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at Pegula Ice Arena.
The game presents a stark contrast in season trajectories. Penn State enters with a dominant 28-4 overall record, having won nine consecutive games. RIT, meanwhile, sits at 15-16 and is looking to build momentum after splitting a series with Syracuse last weekend.
The Nittany Lions, whose last loss came on Jan. 10, have been an offensive juggernaut, outscoring opponents 44-8 during their nine-game win streak. A key catalyst has been forward Grace Outwater. The standout winger has been on a remarkable point-per-game tear, recording a goal in eight straight contests and totaling 10 goals and 13 points over that span. In Penn State’s most recent 5-0 rout of Lindenwood, Outwater netted two goals on five shots.
RIT will counter with its own offensive leader in Linda Rulle. The Tigers’ winger is coming off a two-goal, six-shot performance in a 4-2 victory over Syracuse on Feb. 7. Rulle has three points in her last two games and will be central to any upset bid.
History heavily favors the home team. When the teams met in a November series, Penn State swept both games in Rochester, winning 5-3 and 4-3. The Nittany Lions’ high-powered attack proved too much for the Tigers to contain.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Penn State is projected to extend its winning ways with a 7-3 victory. For RIT, containing Outwater and Penn State’s deep offense while capitalizing on chances generated by Rulle will be the paramount challenge.
The teams will conclude their weekend series at Pegula Ice Arena on Saturday, Feb. 14.
