RIT at Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Interstat) — A surging Lindenwood squad will look to continue its recent momentum when it hosts RIT in a women’s NCAA Division I hockey matchup Friday at Centene Community Ice Center.

The Lions (9-16-2) are coming off a statement 4-0 road win over Syracuse last Saturday, highlighted by a four-point performance from star forward Molly Henderson. The center has been on a tear, recording six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in her last three games. Her linemate, defender Josey DunneWeeks, and goaltender Lexington Secreto, who posted a 37-save shutout against the Orange, provide additional firepower and stability.

The visiting Tigers (14-13-0) enter with a winning record but have split their last six contests. They are led by goaltender Sophia Bellina, who is fresh off a perfect 23-save shutout in a 4-0 victory over Brown. Bellina’s consistency will be critical against a resurgent Lindenwood offense.

This game is the first of a weekend series and a rematch of a split in Rochester, New York, last fall. On Oct. 31, Lindenwood stunned RIT with a 3-0 shutout victory, but the Tigers responded emphatically with a 7-1 rout the following day.

The series carries playoff implications as both teams navigate the second half of their conference schedules. RIT will aim to leverage its stronger overall record, while the Lions seek to build on their most complete performance of the season. The matchup between Henderson’s offensive prowess and Bellina’s goaltending forms the key duel.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern on Friday, Jan. 30. The teams will meet again at the same venue Saturday night.
