ADANA, Turkey (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to build on their first victories of the young season will meet Sunday when Botasspor Adana hosts Bursa in a Turkey B women’s professional basketball matchup.

Bursa (1-4) enters the contest coming off a dramatic 70-67 home win over J&M Canakkale on Nov. 8, which snapped a four-game losing streak to open the season. Jazmine Jones powered that victory with a near triple-double, scoring 24 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing 10 assists.

Botasspor Adana (2-4) looks to rebound from a 104-84 road loss to Fenerbahce on Nov. 6. Despite the defeat, Damiris Dantas was a force inside, posting 21 points and 9 rebounds, while Kiana Williams added 20 points.

The home team has won two of its three games at Adana this season, including an 83-67 victory over Mersin. Bursa, meanwhile, has struggled on the road, losing its two away games by an average of 18.5 points.

Jones, who leads Bursa, will face a Botasspor Adana backcourt featuring Williams and Sara Bejedi, who recorded 13 points and 7 assists in their last outing. The matchup in the paint between Bursa’s Egle Zabotkaite and Botasspor’s Dantas could be pivotal.
