Sodertalje vs. Uppsala
UPPSALA, Sweden (Dec. 16, 2025) (Interstat) — A stark contrast in form will be on display Wednesday when the league-leading Uppsala women’s professional basketball team hosts struggling Sodertalje.
Uppsala (12-1) enters the contest riding high after a dominant 93-73 victory over Norrkoping on Sunday. Sodertalje (5-6), meanwhile, looks to rebound from a 56-65 road loss to Malbas on Dec. 7, its most recent outing.
The matchup pits one of the league’s most potent offenses against a team searching for consistency. Uppsala has scored 90 or more points in four of its last five games. Sodertalje’s results have been volatile, with a 107-point outburst against Visby on Nov. 30 followed by a 53-point performance in a loss to Hogsbo a week prior.
A key battle will feature standout guards on opposite trajectories. Uppsala’s Stephanie Visscher is playing at an elite level, averaging 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the win over Norrkoping. For Sodertalje, Laura Zolper remains a bright spot, scoring 20 points in the loss to Malbas, but will need significant support.
Uppsala’s roster depth presents a major challenge. Alongside Visscher, forwards Johanna Prytz and Wilma Sorensen are coming off strong all-around performances. Sodertalje will rely heavily on Zolper and center Mikaela Gustafsson, who had 10 points and 8 rebounds against Malbas.
The teams last met in the season’s opening month, with Uppsala securing an 85-84 road win on Oct. 19. They are scheduled to play again in Sodertalje on Feb. 7, 2026.
Wednesday’s game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff at Uppsala Arena in Uppsala, Sweden.
