Sheffield vs. Oaklands

ST ALBANS, United Kingdom (Interstat) — The top team in Britain’s professional women’s basketball circuit will put its dominance on the line Saturday, April 25, 2026, when Sheffield visits Oaklands in a much-anticipated matchup at St Albans.

Sheffield (15-2 across all competitions) has been nearly unstoppable, bringing the league’s deepest roster and the emergence of forward Megan Mullings as a nightly force. Mullings has posted at least 18 points in her last three games, including a 28-point, three-rebound effort in a 106-67 demolition of Leicester on April 18 and a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 109-73 win over Cardiff on March 28.

The visiting team’s most recent result was a 39-point rout of Leicester, with Mullings, Nina Krisper (22 points, nine rebounds) and Antoinette Lewis (19 points, 10 rebounds) leading the way. Sheffield has won 12 straight since a loss earlier in the year, its only two defeats coming in close contests against rivals.

Oaklands (12-5) enters with a four-game winning streak, albeit against a softer portion of the schedule. Most recently, the home side edged Newcastle 81-76 on April 18, with forward Danielle McCray scoring 22 points on 29 minutes. McCray, the player to watch for Oaklands, has been inconsistent — she managed only two points in a 77-72 loss at London on April 11 but bounced back with 16 points and seven rebounds in a 71-63 win at Nottingham on April 4.

The teams last met Nov. 1, 2025, when Sheffield won 79-61 on the road. Oaklands will need a complete effort from McCray and its supporting cast — including guards Teresa Da Silva and Shanice Beckford Norton — to contain a Sheffield offense that averages more than 90 points per game and boasts a +24 average margin of victory.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. local time.
