NEWCASTLE, United Kingdom (Interstat) — The Britain Basketball Women’s League features a top-tier clash Saturday, April 25, 2026, as the visiting Caledonia squad (14-2) travels to face Newcastle (11-6) at Newcastle Arena.

Caledonia enters the matchup riding a five-game winning streak, most recently defeating Manchester 68-58 on April 19. The team’s lone losses came in February to Sheffield and Oaklands. Newcastle, conversely, dropped its last outing 81-76 at Oaklands on April 18, snapping a three-game win streak.

The visitors boast the league’s best record and a dominant recent head-to-head result, having crushed Newcastle 115-70 on Dec. 21, 2025.

Caledonia forward Tierra Hodges has been a consistent force. In the win over Manchester, she logged 17 points and 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. Newcastle forward Andrea Daley has been prolific despite the recent loss. She recorded 25 points and 18 rebounds in 37 minutes at Oaklands. In the previous three games, she registered double-doubles in each: 23 points and 14 rebounds vs. Nottingham on April 11; 35 points and 15 rebounds at London on April 9; and 21 points and 15 rebounds vs. Manchester on April 2.
