BRESCIA, Italy (Interstat) — Cornelia Fondren recorded a triple-double Sunday as Derthona dominated Brescia 93-55 in an Italy A1 women’s professional basketball game.

The visiting Derthona controlled the contest from the start. Fondren, a guard from Memphis, Tennessee, scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished five assists in just 24 minutes. Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah added 18 points and seven rebounds for Derthona, which improved to 11-8 overall.

Maria Barneda and Anna Winkowska each scored 14 points for last-place Brescia, which fell to 3-16. Derthona previously beat Brescia by 49 points in December. The teams combined for poor shooting percentages, but Derthona’s defense and balanced scoring proved decisive.
