Yalova vs. Emlak II

Preview: Yalova Seeks Revenge Against Emlak II in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Two teams near the bottom of the Turkey A women’s professional basketball standings will meet Saturday when Emlak II hosts Yalova in Istanbul.

The game, scheduled for April 18, 2026, pits a pair of struggling squads looking to build momentum late in the season. Yalova enters with a 9-15 record across all competitions, while Emlak II sits at 7-17.

The visiting Yalova side will be motivated by revenge, having suffered a lopsided 79-54 defeat at home to Emlak II on Dec. 27, 2025. Yalova is looking to snap a four-game losing streak, most recently falling 68-62 to Bursa Uludag on April 11.

Yalova’s hopes will rest heavily on forward Chantae Embry, who has been a consistent bright spot during the skid. Embry is coming off a 17-point, 8-rebound performance in a loss to Istanbul GSK on April 4 and recorded a dominant 25-point, 14-rebound, 8-assist effort against Turgutlu on March 22.

Emlak II has also struggled for consistency, dropping its last outing 80-70 at Samsun Ihtisas on April 11. The home team will rely on guard Ceren Akpinar, who leads the team in production. Akpinar posted 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in that loss and was instrumental in a 74-46 rout of Secil Kaucuk Mersin Basketball on April 5, scoring 22 points.

Beyond the star matchup between Embry and Akpinar, both teams have shown offensive volatility. Yalova has scored 90 or more points twice this season but also been held under 65 in three of its last five games. Emlak II’s defense, which allowed just 46 points in its April 5 win, surrendered 80 or more in three of its preceding four contests.

With playoff hopes likely extinguished for both clubs, the matchup represents a chance to salvage pride and build for the future in a league where every victory is hard-earned. Tipoff is set for Saturday in Istanbul.
