ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Emlak II looks to build on its first home victory of the season when it hosts Bursa Uludag in a Turkey A women’s professional basketball league matchup on Saturday.

The home team (2-5) earned a 56-47 win over Adana on Nov. 2 but is coming off a 92-51 road loss to Istanbul GSK on Nov. 8. Emlak II has struggled defensively, allowing an average of 74.1 points per game in its seven contests this season.

Bursa Uludag (0-0) opens its 2025-26 campaign after a seven-month hiatus. Its last official game was a 79-52 home loss to Turgutlu on April 12, 2025. Key performers from that contest included Nimet Caliskan, who scored 12 points, and Feray Laic, who pulled down 7 rebounds and blocked 2 shots.

Saturday’s game in Istanbul presents an opportunity for both teams. Emlak II seeks to establish consistency, while Bursa Uludag aims for a fresh start under new head coach Maria Barneda.
