Herlev vs. Falcon
Herlev Looks to Upset League-Leading Falcon in Copenhagen Clash
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (Interstat) — The surging Falcon women’s professional basketball team will put its dominant league record on the line Sunday when it hosts the .500 Herlev squad in a Danish league matchup.
The game, scheduled for Feb. 15, 2026, in Copenhagen, pits the league’s top team against a middle-of-the-pack opponent seeking a statement victory. Falcon enters with a formidable 10-2 record across all competitions, having won four of its last five games. Herlev sits at an even 6-6 but is riding a three-game winning streak, including a decisive 77-53 victory over Amager on Feb. 6.
Falcon has owned the recent head-to-head series, winning both meetings this season. It earned a 77-62 road win on Oct. 25, 2025, and followed with a 71-60 home victory on Dec. 18, 2025. Herlev’s last win in the series dates to the previous season.
The matchup features two of the league’s standout guards. Herlev will rely on the hot hand of Victoria Lundin, who is averaging 19.7 points over her last three games. She exploded for 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the Feb. 6 win. For Falcon, Celia Carbonell provides a consistent all-around threat, posting double-doubles in two of her last three outings, including an 11-point, 12-rebound performance in an 84-67 win at Horsholm on Feb. 4.
Falcon’s strength has been its balanced offense and stifling defense, holding opponents under 70 points in eight of its ten wins. Herlev’s recent surge has been fueled by improved scoring, averaging 81 points during its three-game streak, well above its season average.
A Herlev victory would shake up the league standings and provide crucial momentum. A Falcon win would further solidify its position atop the table as the season enters its final stretch. Tip-off is set for Sunday afternoon at Copenhagen’s arena.
