BARCELONA, Spain (Interstat) — Izar Bedia scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift Mondragon to a 68-66 victory over Maresme in a Spain LF2 women’s professional basketball game Saturday. Bedia’s double-double, coupled with a 10-point, 10-rebound performance from teammate Joana Antonio, secured the narrow road win. Ariadna Magrina and Queralt Coll each scored 14 points for Maresme in the loss. Both teams moved to 10-12 overall on the season. The result was an upset, as statistical models heavily favored Maresme to win at home.
