VILAGARCIA AROUSA, Spain (Interstat) — Christabel Ezumah scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Saturday to power Mariscos to an 88-70 women’s professional basketball victory over Siroko Gijon in a Spain LF2 matchup.

Ezumah, the game’s top performer, recorded a double-double in just 25 minutes. Merissah Russell led all scorers with 27 points for the visitors. Cristina Loureiro added 24 points for Mariscos, which improved its season record to 15-7 with the win at Vilagarcia Arousa.

Mariscos never trailed after establishing an early double-digit lead. The home team’s defense stifled Siroko Gijon, which fell to 9-14. The result avenged a December loss to Siroko Gijon.
