MAGECTIAS VISITS CB ISLA BONITA IN LF WOMEN’S BASKETBALL CLASH

MADRID (Interstat) — CB Isla Bonita looks to solidify its position in the standings when it hosts struggling Magectias in a Spain LF women’s professional basketball game on Saturday.

The matchup at Isla Bonita’s home court features a stark contrast in season trajectories. The home side enters with a 13-10 record across all competitions, while Magectias has managed just five wins against 19 losses.

Their most recent meeting underscores the challenge for the visitors. On Jan. 11, CB Isla Bonita secured a 96-81 road victory over Magectias.

Isla Bonita is coming off a dominant 84-68 road win against Edbaser on April 11. Center Marta Vulovic led the way with 19 points and six rebounds in just 22 minutes, highlighting her efficiency. Point guard Belen Armengol added 13 points and seven assists, and Elze Motekaityte recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Magectias, meanwhile, seeks to snap a losing streak after falling 72-60 to Claret Valencia on April 11. In that loss, forward Birgit Snorradottir posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Naroa Zabala added a team-high 16 points.

Snorradottir will be a key player to watch for Magectias. She is averaging 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds over her last three games, including her 15-point, 12-rebound performance last week.

For CB Isla Bonita, Vulovic’s recent form provides a significant interior advantage. Her 19-point outing followed a quieter performance in a 74-71 loss to Claret Valencia on March 29.

The game tips off at 6 p.m. local time on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
