Brod na Savi vs. Pozega
PREVIEW: Brod na Savi at Pozega
POZEGA, Croatia (Interstat) — The top team in Croatian women’s professional basketball visits Pozega on Saturday as Brod na Savi brings its dominant 20-1 record across all competitions to face a Pozega squad seeking to reverse a narrow December loss.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Pozega’s home venue.
Brod na Savi enters riding a wave of lopsided victories. The visitors most recently crushed Zadar 104-60 on April 17, led by forward Tamia Ugass, who posted 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in 25 minutes. Ugass has been a consistent force, averaging at least 13 points and six rebounds in her past three games, including a 21-point, six-rebound effort against Medvescak on April 11.
Pozega, holding an 11-9 record, comes off a 74-69 road win at Medvescak on April 19. Forward Lea Miletic logged 35 minutes, tallying 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Miletic also recorded a double-double in a March 28 loss at Rijeka with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The teams last met Dec. 20, 2025, when Brod na Savi edged Pozega 76-72 at home. Pozega’s roster also features forward Marija Soldo, who scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win over Medvescak, and guard Gabriela Grizelj, who added 13 points and six assists.
Brod na Savi’s depth was on display against Zadar, where ELease Stafford added 18 points and Kiara Jackson scored 15. The visitors have won 10 straight since a December victory over Pozega, outscoring opponents by an average margin exceeding 30 points during that stretch. Pozega has split its last four games but will look to leverage home-court advantage to contain Ugass and force a tighter contest.
