Split vs. KASL Split
SPLIT, Croatia (Interstat) — A last-place showdown in Croatian women’s professional basketball is set for Saturday, April 25, 2026, as Split travels across town to face KASL Split in a league matchup organized by the Croatia Basketball Federation.
The two crosstown rivals enter the contest mired in the bottom of the standings. Split carries a 1-19 record across all competitions, while KASL Split sits slightly better at 5-16. The game is scheduled to tip off at Split’s home arena.
Split will lean on forward Iva Tabak, who has been a rare bright spot in a difficult season. Tabak posted 11 points and four rebounds in a 73-51 home loss to Zadar on April 19, and added 10 points and seven rebounds in a 77-34 defeat to Brod na Savi on March 28. Her ability to generate offense inside will be critical against a KASL Split defense that has allowed 87 points per game over its last three outings.
KASL Split counters with guard Aliyah Deen Ahmad, who has been logging heavy minutes and producing consistently. Ahmad played the full 40 minutes in an April 18 loss at Rijeka, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. She scored 19 points with eight rebounds in a 79-58 home loss to Ragusa on April 11, and erupted for 27 points and 12 rebounds in a March 29 defeat at Zagreb.
The teams met once previously this season, with KASL Split earning a 71-69 road victory on Dec. 19, 2025. That game was decided in the final minutes, and Saturday’s rematch promises similar intensity between two sides desperate to climb out of the cellar.
Split enters having lost 19 of 20 games, its only win coming March 24 against Medvescak. KASL Split has dropped four straight, including a 64-56 loss at Rijeka on April 18.
Tipoff is set for Saturday evening in Split.
