IDK Eustotren vs. Zaragoza
ZARAGOZA, Spain (Interstat) — A surging Zaragoza squad looks to continue its climb up the Spain LF standings when it hosts a struggling IDK Eustotren team on Wednesday.
Zaragoza (17-6 across all competitions) enters the midweek contest having won four of its last five domestic league games, including a dominant 82-57 road victory over Gran Canaria on Jan. 4. Guard Helena Pueyo led the way in that win with 15 points, five rebounds and two assists in just 21 minutes, continuing a strong run of form. Over her last three LF games, Pueyo is averaging 13.3 points.
The hosts have found consistent success behind a balanced attack. In the win over Gran Canaria, Mariona Ortiz dished out seven assists while Merritt Hempe added 15 points and seven rebounds.
They face an IDK Eustotren side (7-7) mired in a four-game losing streak. All four losses have come by 10 points or fewer, including a 55-50 defeat to Araski on Sunday. In that game, forward Maria Erauncetamurgil posted a formidable 15 rebounds to go with nine points, but the team’s offense stalled.
Erauncetamurgil has been a bright spot during the skid, averaging 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds over the four losses. She will need significant support from contributors like Yvonne Ejim (11 points, nine rebounds vs. Araski) and Khadija Faye to challenge a deep Zaragoza lineup.
The matchup pits one of the league’s hottest teams against one seeking to reverse its fortunes. Zaragoza won the earlier meeting this season on Nov. 6, 2025, a 97-85 victory in Badalona. Wednesday’s game is the first of their two scheduled league meetings this season, with the rematch set for Feb. 28 in Eustotren’s home venue.
Following this game, Zaragoza will prepare for a Sunday home contest against CAB Estepona. IDK Eustotren continues its schedule at home against Ensino on Jan. 10.
Tip-off is scheduled for Wednesday night at Pabellón Príncipe Felipe in Zaragoza.
