RIGA (Interstat) — On Saturday, Kibirkstis Vilnius defeated TTT Riga 80-59 on the road in a women’s professional basketball game. The visitors led 19-14 after the first quarter and outscored TTT Riga 29-19 in the second for a 48-33 halftime lead. A 12-11 edge in the third quarter kept Kibirkstis Vilnius ahead before it closed out the road win. Ieva Pulvere led TTT Riga with 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Niyah Becker added 12 points, five rebounds and one assist for Kibirkstis Vilnius. Zoe Wadoux scored 11 points with three assists, Karline Pilabere posted 11 points and seven rebounds for TTT Riga, and Daugile Use contributed eight points, six rebounds and four blocks. Kibirkstis Vilnius shot 27 of 64 from the floor and held TTT Riga to 16-of-55 shooting, while committing only five turnovers to TTT Riga’s 20. Kibirkstis Vilnius improved to 5-0, while TTT Riga fell to 0-2.
