ATHENS (Interstat) — Athinaikos will host Kibirkstis Vilnius in a women’s professional basketball game on Tuesday. Kibirkstis Vilnius brings a 9-1 season record into the matchup, while Athinaikos is 5-4. The teams are set to meet for the second time this season.

Kibirkstis Vilnius is coming off a 55-77 loss at Zaragoza in its most recent game. Niyah Becker was the team’s top producer in that game with 17 points and eight rebounds. Brigita Sinickaite added eight points, two rebounds and four assists, and Gabija Meskonyte finished with eight points, three rebounds and one assist.

Becker, a player to watch for Kibirkstis Vilnius, has been productive throughout the recent stretch. She had 11 points and four rebounds in a 98-56 win at Liepajas Papirs/LSSS, 12 points and eight rebounds in a 73-67 win at Landes, and 19 points and four rebounds in a 93-43 win over TTT Riga Juniores. In the earlier meeting with Athinaikos this season, Becker scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 103-65 Kibirkstis Vilnius victory. She also had 12 points and five rebounds at TTT Riga and 20 points and three rebounds against Klaipedos Neptunas. Becker played 28 minutes in the Zaragoza game and 24 minutes in the earlier meeting with Athinaikos.

Athinaikos most recently defeated Kronos 90-47. Alexis Prince, a player to watch for Athinaikos, had 15 points and nine rebounds in the team’s previous game against Landes, a 65-78 loss. Prince also had nine points and six rebounds against Zaragoza and nine points and four rebounds in the earlier loss to Kibirkstis Vilnius. Prince played 31 minutes against Landes and 27 minutes in the earlier meeting with Kibirkstis Vilnius.

The earlier head-to-head meeting between the teams this season went to Kibirkstis Vilnius, which won 103-65.
