Estudiantes roll past Araski in women’s professional basketball
VITORIA-GASTEIZ, Spain (Interstat) — Estudiantes dominated Araski 76-45 on Thursday in a women’s professional basketball game, earning its first win of the season while handing the hosts a second straight loss. Estudiantes controlled the tempo early, built a comfortable lead and never allowed Araski to mount a serious comeback. The visiting side moved the ball well, attacked the basket and finished with a balanced offensive effort. Araski struggled to find rhythm, missed opportunities at the rim and could not keep pace after the opening minutes. Estudiantes improved to 1-0. Araski dropped to 0-2 after previously losing at Baxi Ferrol. The home team will look to regroup when it hosts Mallorca Palma next. Estudiantes is set to host IDK Gipuzkoa in its next game. The result marked a strong road performance for Estudiantes, which led throughout much of the contest and closed out the game with composure. Araski, meanwhile, remained in search of its first victory of the young season. The game was played as part of the women’s professional basketball schedule. Estudiantes’ defensive pressure and efficient scoring proved too much for Araski to overcome.
