BRATISLAVA, Slovakia (Interstat) — Kelsey Ransom scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead visiting Young Angels Kosice over Slovan Bratislava 64-53 Thursday in women’s professional basketball. Ransom, who played 38 minutes, added three assists and one block as Young Angels Kosice improved to 3-0. Laila Lawrence contributed eight points, 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 31 minutes. Dominica Hynkova had 11 points, four rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes. Zuzana Vargova added nine points and eight rebounds, while Dominika Bancakova had 14 points, three rebounds and two assists for the visitors. Karolina Fadrhonsova scored 13 points with three assists for Slovan Bratislava, which dropped to 1-2. Young Angels Kosice led 21-21 after the first quarter, then used a 20-13 second-quarter edge to take control. The visitors held a 41-34 halftime lead and carried a 53-45 advantage into the fourth. Slovan Bratislava scored 11 in the third, but Young Angels Kosice closed with an 11-8 fourth quarter.
