PIRAEUS, Greece (Interstat) — Olympiacos will host Kronos on Saturday in a women’s professional basketball game between two teams that remain unbeaten early in the season.

Olympiacos is 3-0. Kronos is 2-0. The home side has opened with three victories, including a 101-67 home win over Panseraikos, a 68-60 road win at Amyntas and a 96-68 home win over Baxi Ferrol. Olympiacos has scored at least 68 points in every game this season and has reached 96 or more twice. Olympiacos has allowed 68 or fewer in each of its last two contests.

Kronos has won both of its games. The visiting team opened with a 66-63 road win at Aris and followed with a 75-70 home win over Panathlitikos in its most recent outing. Kronos has yet to lose and will look to remain perfect against an Olympiacos team that has also started strong. Kronos has scored at least 66 points in each of its first two games and has held both opponents under 71 points. The matchup will feature two of the early unbeaten teams in the league.

Eleanna Christinaki is a player to watch for Olympiacos. She had 26 points, six rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes in the win over Baxi Ferrol. Christinaki has been a key offensive option for Olympiacos and will be important against Kronos. Olympiacos also received 16 points and six rebounds from Dulcy Fankam and 12 points and seven rebounds from Lola Pendande in that victory. Fankam added one block in 24 minutes, while Pendande added two assists in 24 minutes.

Kronos has shown it can win close games. The team’s first two victories came by a combined eight points. The visitor will need a strong defensive effort to slow Olympiacos, which has been productive at home. Olympiacos has won both of its home games this season. Olympiacos will aim to control the pace and use its depth. Kronos will try to counter with a defense that has limited its first two opponents to 70 points or fewer. The game is one of the early tests for both clubs as they continue their schedules.
