Panathlitikos at Kronos

AGIOS DIMITRIOS, Greece (Interstat) — Kronos will host Panathlitikos on Sunday in a women’s professional basketball game between two teams that have opened the season with 1-0 records.

Kronos enters the matchup after a 66-63 road victory at Aris on Oct. 4. The home team will try to build on that result and stay unbeaten early in the campaign. Panathlitikos also comes in at 1-0 after a 71-59 home win over Amyntas on Oct. 4. The visitors will aim to carry that momentum into a road test against another unbeaten opponent. Both teams will look to avoid a first loss and gain an early edge in the standings.

The game features two clubs with identical early-season profiles. Both have one win and no losses, and both are seeking a strong start before a busy stretch of games. Kronos is scheduled to play at Olympiacos on Oct. 17 before returning home to face AEO Proteas Voulas on Oct. 25. Panathlitikos will travel to Miskolc on Oct. 14, then return home to meet PAOK on Oct. 18. Panathlitikos also has a road game at Jairis on Oct. 21 and a trip to Panathinaikos on Oct. 25.

Kronos’s upcoming slate includes a game at Athinaikos on Oct. 31, a home matchup with Giannina on Nov. 7 and a road game at Panseraikos on Nov. 22. Panathlitikos will later host Brod na Savi on Oct. 29, Aris on Nov. 1 and Miskolc on Nov. 4. Both teams will continue with league and cup commitments as the season develops, but the focus remains on Sunday’s meeting.

Kronos and Panathlitikos have each shown the ability to score and defend in their opening wins. Kronos held on for a three-point road win, while Panathlitikos won by 12 at home. The game could hinge on which team handles the other’s defensive pressure and controls the pace. Neither team has played more than one game, so the matchup offers an early measure of form and depth.

For Kronos, protecting home court will be a priority. For Panathlitikos, earning a road victory against an unbeaten opponent would provide an early boost. The teams are scheduled to meet as part of the women’s professional basketball calendar. Further matchups and standings implications will develop as the season continues. The matchup is one of several early tests on the schedule for both clubs.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Kronos 66, Panathlitikos 63. Interstat’s ELO system gives Kronos a 69.4 percent probability to win.
