THESSALONIKI, Greece (Interstat) — PAOK defeated visiting Aris 70-68 on Sunday in a women’s professional basketball game, using a fourth-quarter comeback to secure the home victory. Aris led 38-35 at halftime after outscoring PAOK 20-9 in the second quarter. PAOK had opened with a 26-18 first-quarter advantage, but Aris answered by taking a 55-53 lead into the final period. In the fourth, PAOK outscored Aris 17-13 to erase the deficit and finish the comeback. The game was tightly contested throughout the second half. Aris dropped to 0-2 this season, while PAOK improved to 1-1. Aris previously lost to Kronos in its season opener, and PAOK previously fell at Panathinaikos. Aris is scheduled to host Panathinaikos next, then Kavala, while PAOK will visit Panathlitikos before hosting Olympiacos. Aris will later face Panathlitikos, Olympiacos, AEO Proteas Voulas, Athinaikos, Giannina, Panseraikos, Amyntas and Kronos.
