BELGRADE (Interstat) — Student Nis will visit Mega MIS on Wednesday in a women’s professional basketball game. Student Nis enters with a 1-1 record, while Mega MIS is 0-2. The matchup features two players to watch as both teams look for momentum early in the season.

Nevena Vuckovic leads Student Nis. In her most recent game, a 79-70 home win over Nibak Nis, she played 37 minutes and finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists. In her previous outing, a 75-83 overtime loss at Partizan, Vuckovic scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 31 minutes. Student Nis also got 18 points, five rebounds and four assists from Hristina Marjanovic in the win over Nibak Nis, while Teodora Culibrk added 11 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

Student Nis opened its season with the overtime loss at Partizan. The team then returned home to beat Nibak Nis by nine points. Vuckovic scored in double figures in both games and posted a double-double against Partizan.

Tamara Ivanovic is the player to watch for Mega MIS. In the team’s most recent game, a 62-78 loss at Vojvodina 021, Ivanovic played 23 minutes and recorded seven points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Earlier, in a 62-68 loss at Nibak Nis, she played seven minutes and had two rebounds and one assist. Mega MIS also received 13 points, one rebound and two assists from Nevena Petrovic in the loss at Vojvodina 021, and Nada Maksimovic added six points, two rebounds, one assist and one block.

Mega MIS has dropped its first two games, both on the road. The team fell at Nibak Nis 62-68 and at Vojvodina 021 62-78. Ivanovic had eight rebounds and three blocks in the latest outing.

Student Nis will look to build on its home win and move above .500. Mega MIS will seek its first victory of the season while playing at home for the first time in this early stretch. The game is part of the women’s professional schedule and will be played on Wednesday.

After this matchup, Student Nis is set to continue its schedule with upcoming games against Vojvodina, Sopron, Ras, Benfica, Korac, Saarlouis, Novosadska and Duga.
