SUBOTICA, Serbia (Interstat) — Novosadska used a decisive third quarter to defeat Spartak 53-46 on Saturday in a women’s professional basketball game. The visiting team trailed 31-28 at halftime after Spartak scored 16 points in the second quarter. Novosadska opened with 17 first-quarter points, added 11 in the second, then took control with 16 in the third while holding Spartak to five. Novosadska closed with nine fourth-quarter points. Spartak scored 15 in the first, 16 in the second, five in the third and 10 in the fourth. Novosadska outscored Spartak 25-15 after halftime, turning a three-point halftime deficit into a victory. Spartak’s second-quarter surge gave it a brief lead, but it could not sustain the momentum. Novosadska led 44-36 after three quarters before sealing the win.
