AUCKLAND (Interstat) — Erin Bollmann had 15 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and one block, but Northern Kahu fell to Mainland Pouakai 94-87 on Saturday in a women’s professional basketball game. Morgan Yaeger scored 26 points with six rebounds and seven assists for Mainland Pouakai, while Mikayla Pivec added 15 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and one block. Megan Mullings scored 25 points for Northern Kahu, Talya Brugler had 17 points and seven rebounds, and Tayla Dalton finished with nine points. Mainland Pouakai also got 11 points from Mckenna Dale, 11 from Rebekah Frisby Smith, eight points and seven rebounds from Esra Mcgoldrick, and eight points from Emilia Ainley. Mainland Pouakai trailed 20-17 after the first quarter, was behind 39-37 at halftime, and led 63-59 after three quarters before closing with a 31-28 fourth quarter. Mainland Pouakai improved to 3-1, and Northern Kahu dropped to 1-3.
